Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the LarkRide app and website. By creating an account or using LarkRide you agree to them. Questions: hello@larkride.com.
What LarkRide is
LarkRide connects riders with independent drivers. We provide the app; we do not provide the transport, and drivers are not our employees. Each trip is an agreement between the rider and the driver.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, give accurate information, and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. School runs are booked by a parent or guardian.
Fares and payment
- Riders offer a fare and drivers accept or reply with their own. The price you agree is the price of the trip.
- A fair-fare floor, based on distance and fuel, stops offers going below the cost of the trip.
- Trips are paid in cash to the driver at the end. Tips are not part of LarkRide.
- LarkRide charges drivers a flat 6% platform fee on every completed trip, taken from the driver's prepaid balance. Riders pay no fee to us.
Drivers
- You must hold a valid driving licence, have the right to use your vehicle, and meet the local legal requirements for carrying passengers.
- Applications are reviewed, and we may approve, refuse or pause an account at our discretion, for example for safety reasons or false information.
- The vehicle on your account must be the vehicle you drive. Changes to your vehicle must be requested in the app and approved by us.
- School runs are open only to drivers we have verified for them, and the trip can start only when the child's 4-digit code is entered.
- Keep your prepaid balance above the minimum to receive requests.
Everyone
- Be respectful. Harassment, discrimination, violence, fraud and misuse of the app are not allowed.
- Cancel as early as you can. Repeated late cancellations can lead to limits on your account.
- LarkRide is a car ride, not an ambulance or medical care. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number first.
- Use the SOS button if you feel unsafe.
Ending an account
You can stop using LarkRide at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Our responsibility
We work to keep the app running and safe, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the conduct of riders or drivers, or for losses caused by things outside our control. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make an important change we will tell you in the app or on this page. Continuing to use LarkRide means you accept the updated terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where we operate the service.
